2009 Missions
PSDC frequently takes part in foreign missions for the
purpose of exploring opportunities, networking, promoting
of Malaysian professionals and information gathering.
Below is the list of 2009 missions in which we took part.
OFFICIAL VISIT TO BAHRAIN AND QATAR FROM 17 TO 23 JANUARY
2009
PSDC participated in an official visit to Bahrain and
Qatar on 17 – 23 January 2009 led by the Former Prime
Minister of Malaysia, YAB Dato’ Seri Abdullah Bin
Ahmad Badawi. The former Minister of Works, Yb Dato’ Sri
Ir. Mohd Zin bin Mohamed was also part of the Prime Minister’s
delegation. This visit was as a platform for PSDC to make
direct contact with potential construction industry players
from Bahrain and Qatar. Several companies had approached
PSDC and sought assistance to find potential business partners
from Malaysia. Their contact details had been disseminated
to PSDC members and several Malaysian companies that had
registered their interest to network with the said companies.
FACT-FINDING MISSION TO BOSNIA HERZEGOVINA FROM 17 TO
23 JANUARY 2009
PSDC participated in Fact-Finding Mission
to Bosnia and Herzegovina (BIH) led by Head of the Special
Unit for Overseas
Project, Economic Planning Unit (EPU). The mission was
specifically organized to acquire feedback from the Bosnian
Government on a Malaysian proposal to organize a feasibility
study on the development of a new airport in Visoko. The
delegation was honored to meet with the President of BIH,
Prime Minister of the Federation of BIH, Mayor of Kosovo
and several top Government officials. This visit has given
an affirmative direction for Malaysia to proceed with the
study.
