In

situation and vast opportunities in the construction
industry. Based on a proposal to implement
housing projects using Industrialized Building
System (IBS) which had been sent earlier to
the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development
Algeria, PSDC together with MATRADE and 11
other delegates from related government agencies,
consultants and contractors had the opportunity
to meet and discuss the proposal with the Minister
of Housing and Urban Development on 8 February
2009. Besides housing projects, the
delegation had met with the officials from
Ministry of Public Works Algeria and Ministry
of Investment and Promotions Algeria to explore
other opportunities on infrastructure projects
and investment. The Malaysian team had also
been invited to participate in the construction
of ‘The Great Mosque’ which is
set to cost about USD3 Billion.
