OF ROADS, KENYA TO PSDC ON 3rd MARCH 2009
H. E. David Gachoki Njoka, the High Commissioner of
Kenya; Eng. M. S. M. Kamau, Permanent Secretary, Ministry
of Roads; and 2 officers from Ministry of Roads, Kenya
visited PSDC on the 3rd March 2009. Several local professional
firms who had either exported or intended to export their
services to Kenya had also been invited to the meeting.
During the discussion, the Permanent Secretary informed
that there currently was a shortage of contractors and
consultants in Kenya. As such, they lacked expertise
and professionals to undertake construction and infrastructure
projects in their country. In that note, he extended
an invitation to Malaysian companies to open offices
in their country and establish partnerships with local
players.
COURTESY VISIT BY ALGERIAN BUSINESS DELEGATION
An Algerian
business delegation visited PSDC on 6th May 2009 through
facilitation from MATRADE. The purpose
of their visit was to establish business relations and
to learn more about PSDC’s roles and functions.
They also expressed their interest to meet capable consultants
or contractors who are keen to do business in Algeria
particularly in developing townships. As such, PSDC had
organized an appointment with a Malaysian contractor
who was interested to penetrate the Algerian market in
the construction industry.
 
COURTESY VISIT BY THE CONTRACTORS REGISTRATION BOARD
(CRB) OF TANZANIA
The delegation from Contractors Registration
Board (CRB) of Tanzania organized a study tour to Malaysia
with the
intention to exchange ideas and views on the registration
of contractors in Malaysia and to identify potential
partners for future projects in Tanzania. As part of
the programme, the delegation made a courtesy visit to
PSDC on 6th October 2009. They were briefed on PSDC’s
roles and function in promoting and enhancing the level
of involvement of Malaysian professional services in
the international market. PSDC also highlighted the achievements
made by Malaysian professionals locally and internationally
and emphasized what Malaysia could offer to the world
especially Tanzania. Both parties agreed to look at the
possibility to work together in the future. |
