Chief Executive Officer, MATRADE (Board Member PSDC)

Dato’ Noharuddin serves as a Board Member of PSDC since 19th April 2007. He was appointed as Chief Executive Officer of the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE) since 2006. Prior to this he served as the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Promotion since 2003 and as a Director since 2000 at MATRADE.

Dato’ Noharuddin has wide experience in international trade having served a six year term as the Malaysian Trade Commissioner (TC) to New York, USA, and also through his attachment with the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI) during which he provided input for the GATT Uruguay Rounds Negotiations. Dato’ Noharuddin also served as the Assistant Director of the Road Transport Department earlier in his career.

Dato’ Noharuddin holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) Degree from the University of Birmingham, UK and has completed an Advance Management Program at Harvard Business School, USA. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Transport (UK) and has a Diploma in Public Administration from the National Institute of Public Administration, Malaysia and a Diploma in Trade Policy from GATT, Switzerland.
