The seminars on the liberalization of the services sector
are organized in major cities throughout the country.
Experts in the respective fields are invited to speak
on the government initiatives to liberalize the services
sector as well as the commitments made by Malaysia.
  Speakers also invited to speak on the Services Sector
Capacity Development Fund (SSCDF) which is a special
fund for the capacity development of Malaysian service
providers as foreign services providers are allowed to
set up commercial presence with 100% foreign equity.
To date, Malaysia has announced the liberalization of
27 services sub-sector as follows:
Computer and Related Services
- Consultancy services related to the installation
of computer hardware (CPC 841)
- Software implementation services-systems and software
consulting services; systems analysis services; systems
design services; programming services; and system maintenance
services (CPC 842)
- Data processing services-input preparation services;
data processing and tabulation services; time sharing
services and other data processing services (CPC 843)
- Data base services (CPC 844)
- Maintenance and Repair Services of Computers (CPC
845)
- Other services-data preparation services; training
services; data recovery services; and development of
creative content (CPC 849).
